Venture Capital Partners Pty Limited is the manager of a venture capital fund specialising in investing in small to medium sized export businesses with high growth potential.
Venture Capital Partners is jointly owned by the senior executives of the company and ING Investment Management Ltd (part of the ING Group, one of the world's largest financial services companies). This combination provides both personal commitment and international strength to the company.
Venture Capital Partners No. 1 Fund
VCP No.1 Fund is a $30 million fund which was raised from a number of Australia's leading superannuation funds. The Fund is now closed to any new investments, and is presently in the process of investment realisation.
The Fund has invested in established (i.e. not start-up) and well managed companies with a clear growth strategy, requiring capital to fund rapid growth, management buy-outs (MBOs), management buy-ins (MBIs) and shareholder replacements.

We recognise that an important source of working capital can be provided
by Government assistance. Because of our close working relationship
with
the Government sector we understand the complexities of the application
process for R&D grants (currently the Climate Ready program) and have guided numerous companies to a successful outcome.
Government
We managed the small exporter finance
and support programs for the Export Finance & Insurance Corporation (EFIC),
Australia's official export credit agency. We provided external assessment consulting
services
to the Commonwealth Government
authority, AusIndustry, in relation to their R&D Start grants and Commercialisation Loan programs.
We managed the export facilitation loans program, the International Trade Enhancement Scheme, for Austrade for the last four years of the scheme's life. This program provided nearly $200 million to over 400 Australian exporters.
